Parkinson's UK (Parkinson's Disease Society Of The United Kingdom)

Parkinson's is a progressive neurological condition. This means that it causes problems in the brain and gets worse over time.

The number of people diagnosed with Parkinson's in the UK is about 145,000. That's around 1 adult in every 350.

People with Parkinson's don't have enough of the chemical dopamine because some of the nerve cells that make it have died.

There are lots of different treatments, therapies and support available to help manage the condition.

Our researchers are working hard to develop new and better treatments - and one day a cure.

Mr & Mrs John & Barbara Spittal

I first met Michael over fifty years ago, he was a student boyfriend of my sister. We immediately got on together, both with a love for fishing. Trips to the Great Ouse at St.Neots and paddling a punt down the river at Holywell, hoping it wouldn't rain come to mind. You will be greatly missed by who knew you, not only were you a Brother-in-Law but also a great friend. Rest in peace Michael Alan and Pam
